Please note that the Windows Desktop (Bible Study 6) app is no longer being updated and is offered "as is". Our current Windows app is available for download in the Microsoft Store (requires Windows 10). Detailed download steps can be found here.
What are the system requirements for the Bible Study 6 app?
The Bible Study 6 update requires Windows 7 or later, as well as version 10 or 11 of Internet Explorer (version 11 of Internet Explorer is recommended). Even if Internet Explorer isn’t your primary web browser, it will need to be updated to the latest version. For information on downloading the latest version of Internet Explorer, click here.
Bible Study 6 also requires .NET Framework 4.5.1. You can check which version you have and install the latest version at this site.
Why do my resources need to be downloaded again?
The file format for resources has changed in the latest app update. This requires all of your resources to be re-downloaded. For download steps, click here.
The change in file format allows for new features and functionality within the app. For example, we will be able to offer charts that allow you to tap on Bible verse references (rather than screenshots of charts). We are also offering interlinear Bibles, which was not possible within our older app due to the old file type for resources. Once you have updated your resources to the current format, you should not need to do so again unless you get a new device, re-install the app, etc.
Why is the Bible Study 6 app a separate icon on my desktop?
The latest version of the Windows Desktop app is a separate install from the 5.4.1 version of the app. After setting up the Bible Study 6 app, you can remove the previous version of the app from your computer through the Control Panel. Search your computer for the Control Panel, click Programs and Features, click Bible+ 5.4.1.1492 and Uninstall.
Why aren’t my book ribbons working?
With the 6.0 update, any existing book ribbons will no longer function. However, any future book ribbons that you add will work properly.
In order to delete an unwanted book ribbon, open the spit window, select 'My Stuff', then 'Book Ribbons' and right click on the Book Ribbon you want to delete.
