iPhone/iPad - Settings

Settings for the app can be found by tapping the Settings icon on the toolbar.

Below is a list of the different settings located in the Settings icon on the toolbar. You'll also find a brief explanation where clarity may be necessary. 

Quick Settings Menu

(Tap the Settings icon.)

1. Font Size - A quick way to change the font in the main window
2. Select Theme - Choose between the default theme or low light theme. (Note: only the default theme can be customized.)
3. Vertical Scrolling - Quickly change between vertical and horizontal scrolling
4. Font Face - A quick way to change the font face 
5. Advanced Settings - Access additional settings that are described below. 

Advanced Settings 

(Tap the Settings icon and choose Advanced Settings.)

1. Fonts - Change the font face and size for the various windows of the app.
2. Colors - Change the background and font colors.
3. Scrolling - Choose between vertical (Swipe up/down) and horizontal (Swipe left/right) scrolling. Choose whether the Resource Guide and Parallel Study Center tabs link to the main window.
4. 'Go To'/ T.O.C. - Choose your default Navigation views.
5. Hyperlinks - Choose your default Bible for hyperlinks and how to open hyperlinks.
6. Resource Guide - Edit and order the sections and books that appear in the Resource Guide.
7. Gestures/Shortcuts - Set up gestures for common actions you use in the app. Click here for detailed steps on how to use this feature.
8. Display:
   • Show Strong's Numbers
   • Verses Start on a New Line
   • Hide Notes and Highlights in Text
   • Hide Notes and Highlights in Popups
   • Multi-Column Text
   • Color Words of Jesus
   • Color Strong's Words
   • Reading Progress Display
9. Copy Verse - Choose what to include when copying Bible text. (Please note, the verse reference will only appear if you copy by tapping on a verse number in the Bible text.)
10. Library:
    • Automatically download Books
    • Furthest location for eBooks Prompt
    • Use Cellular Data for Audio Downloads
    • Show Expired Subscription Content
    • Show Store Items in Search Results
    • Manage Storage
    • Hidden Resources 
11. Automatic Sync - Choose to automatically sync and whether to sync on WiFi only.
12. Reset Fonts and Colors - Reset all fonts and colors to the default. This can fix some display issues. 
13. Privacy - Enable or disable privacy settings and personalization/messaging in the app. You can find out more about privacy settings here.
