Sermons in the Olive Tree Bible App allow you to read and study sermons alongside your Bible text. Depending on the sermon collection, you may be able to open sermons directly from your Library, view them alongside your Bible in the Parallel window, or find related sermons in the Resource Guide.

The examples in this article use Spurgeon's Sermons, The Complete Set (63 Vols.) on an iPad. Options and features may vary by sermon collection and platform.
Open a Sermon from the Library
Open your sermon collection from the Library.
To access the Table of Contents and navigate between sermons, tap the navigation menu.
This will open the Table of Contents, where you can navigate to your desired location.
Linked Verses
Many sermons include Linked Verses, which allow you to tap a Bible verse referenced in the sermon and preview that verse in a pop-up window.
You can also set a default Bible translation for Linked Verses so that your preferred translation appears in the pop-up window. To set your default:
- Tap the Settings icon on the toolbar (gear icon).
- Tap Advanced Settings.
- Tap Hyperlinks.
- Tap Default Bible for Hyperlinks.
- Tap your desired translation or the Last Opened Bible.
These settings may vary by platform.
Open a Sermon in the Parallel Window
Open a Bible from your Library in the main window.
Tap Open Study Center at the bottom of the screen.
Select the Parallel option and select your desired sermon collection from the list.
The sermon will open alongside your Bible text.
Open a Sermon from the Resource Guide
Some sermon collections are enhanced to work with the Resource Guide. To check whether a sermon collection supports the Resource Guide, visit its product page on our website and look at the Features section.
Open a Bible in the main window, then tap Open Study Center at the bottom of the screen.
Select the Resource Guide tab. Scroll to the Sermons section to see sermon entries related to the Bible text you're viewing. Select a sermon to open it.
