Listening to Scripture read aloud can be a helpful way to engage with the Bible. In the Olive Tree Bible App, you can stream an Audio Bible or download it for offline listening.
Streaming lets you listen without downloading the audio to your device, but requires an internet connection.
Downloading lets you listen to the audio without an internet connection. You can choose which books to download to help manage storage space on your device.
The steps below explain how to stream and download an Audio Bible. The screenshots are from an iPad, but the process is similar on other supported platforms.
Stream an Audio Bible
Open the Olive Tree Bible App and tap the Library icon.
Locate and tap your Audio Bible in the Library. You can access your Audio Bible from either the Cloud or Device tab.
Use the navigation menu at the top of the screen to select a book, chapter, and verse.
When you select a verse, the Audio Bible will jump to that location and begin playing.
If you have the corresponding Bible text downloaded, it will display alongside the audio as it plays.
Download an Audio Bible
To download an Audio Bible for offline use, select the Options icon in the upper-right corner of the Audio Player.
Select Manage Download.
Select the download icon next to a Bible book to download it, or select Download All to download the entire Bible.
Downloading individual books allows you to manage how much storage the Audio Bible uses on your device.
Once a book is downloaded, the download icon will no longer appear next to it.
Downloaded Audio Bibles can be played without an internet connection.
Manage Audio Bible Downloads
To remove downloaded audio, select the Options icon in the upper-right corner of the Audio Player.
Select Manage Download.
Select Edit.
Select the minus icon next to the book you want to remove.
Deleting a download removes it from your device but does not remove the Audio Bible from your account. You can stream it when connected to the internet or download it again later.
