Annotations are a way to personalize your Bible study experience within the Olive Tree Bible App. These tools help you to record your thoughts and remember key parts of Scripture. Tags are a tool to help you link your annotations (notes, highlights, saved passages) to topics. With tags, you will easily be able to access other annotations you have created that relate to the annotation you are currently reviewing.
Create a Tag:
You can create a tag while editing an annotation or through the Tags entry in the Menu.
While editing an annotation, follow these steps to create a tag:
- Open the annotation you would like to add a new tag to.
- Select '+ Add Tag'.
- Type a label for your new tag in the search field and select the '+' symbol to create it.
Follow these steps to create a tag through the Menu:
- Select the Menu icon.
- Select 'Tags'.
- Select the '+' and type a label for your new tag in the 'Create New Tag' box.
- Select 'Enter' on your keyboard to save the tag.
Tagging Annotations:
You can add or remove a tag to an annotation by tapping the '+Add Tag' button in the editing window of a note, highlight, or saved passage.
For most annotations, the editing window is accessed by selecting the pencil icon while viewing the annotation in the Menu and hovering over a particular annotation.
This option may be in the additional options found by tapping the Options icon (three dots) in the lower right corner.
Edit a Tag:
With tags, the only part of it you can edit is the label (title).
- Select the Menu icon.
- Select 'Tags.'
- Hover over the annotation and select the pencil icon to the right of the tag.
- Edit the label and select the save icon.
Delete a Tag:
You can delete a tag through the Menu by following these steps:
- Select Menu.
- Select 'Tags.'
- Locate the tag you wish to delete.
- Right click on the tag.
- Select 'Delete'.
- Confirm that you would like to delete the tag.
