Windows (OT 7.4)- Highlights and Highlighters

Verse or Text Based

There are two ways to create highlights within our app: word based and verse based. Word based highlights are created by selecting text and are tied to the resource that they are created in. Verse based highlights are created by tapping on a verse number. These highlights are tied to the verse number and will show across your downloaded Bible translations.

Create a Highlight

You can create a highlight when viewing text in your app. As mentioned above, these highlights can be tied to either a verse or text. Here are the steps you can follow to add a highlight:

  • Click a verse number or select text.

Edit a Highlight

Once a highlight is created, it can be located in the Menu by tapping Highlights. Tap the highlight color and scroll down to find the individual highlight. Tap the pencil icon to the right of a highlight to open the edit window. Here you can change the label, assign the highlight to a category, change the highlighter color, and edit the tags.

  • Select Edit in the upper right corner of the menu.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the screen.
  • Select Add Highlighter.

On the next screen, you can assign a label (title), choose highlight or underline, change the intensity of the color, and choose the color. Tap the back arrow in the upper left corner to save the highlighter. It will now appear as an option when you add a highlight in the text.
