iPhone/iPad (OT 7.4)- Audio

We are so excited to welcome the most requested feature to the Olive Tree app! We now have audio books available for use in the Olive Tree Bible App. You can see the resources we have available on our website.

Stream/Download Audio Books

The process for downloading audio books in the app is different than downloading books. Due to the size of audio files, we understand that you may not want the all the audio files stored on your device. As a result, we give you a few options:

  1. Add an audio book to your library and stream it. This option uses minimal space on your device, but does require an internet connection.
  2. Download the full book for offline listening. This option uses the most space on your device.
  3. Download individual books of the Bible to listen offline. This allows you to keep certain books on your device without using as much space. This is only available for audio Bibles.

Here are the steps to stream and download:

  • Open the Store (shopping cart icon) from the toolbar.
  • Tap the Purchased tab in the lower right corner.
  • Tap the Audio tab at the top of the screen.
  • Tap Setup on the audio Bible you want to stream.
  • Tap Open to go to the Audio Player in your Library.

Download for Offline Use:

  • Follow the steps above to add the Bible to your Library, if you have not already done so.
  • Tap an audio Bible in your Library to open the Audio Player.
  • Tap the Options icon in the upper right corner (three dots).
  • Tap Manage Download.
  • Download your Bible using one of these two options:
    • If you want to download the full audio Bible, tap Download All.
    • If you want to download individual Bible books, tap the green arrow to the left of each book’s name.

If you would like to see and manage how much space audio bibles use on your device, visit our Manage Storage article for more information.

Removing Audio Bibles

You can remove individual books of an audio Bible from your device, both if you've downloaded specific books and if you've downloaded a full audio Bible. Here are the steps:

  • Tap an audio Bible in your Library to open the Audio Player.
  • Tap the Options icon in the upper right corner (three dots).
  • Tap Manage Download.
  • Tap Edit.
  • Tap the red circle next to the individual book you want to delete.
  • Tap Delete.
  • Tap Done.

You can also offload a full audio Bible. Offloading an audio Bible removes the files from your device to free up memory, but still leaves it available in your Library to stream with an internet connection. Follow these steps to offload an audio Bible:

  • Open your Library (three books with a cross).
  • Tap the Options icon in the upper right corner (three dots).
  • Tap Manage Storage.
  • Tap Offload Resources.
  • Tap the Audio Bible.
  • Tap Offload Audio Bible.
