Tags are a tool to help you link your annotations (notes, highlights, saved passages, etc.) to topics. With tags, you can easily access other annotations you have created that relate to the annotation you are currently viewing.
Create a Tag
You can create a tag while editing or viewing an annotation or through the Tags entry in the Menu. While editing or viewing an annotation, follow these steps to create a tag:

You will see your new tag in the list. Tap on the box to add a check mark and tap the back arrow to return to the annotation.

Note that the tag has now been added to the annotation.
Follow these steps to create a tag through the Menu:
Tagging Annotations
You can add or remove a tag to an annotation by tapping the 'Edit Tags' button in the editing window. For most annotations, the editing window is accessed by tapping and holding the annotation while viewing the annotation in the Menu.
Edit a Tag
With tags, the only option you can edit is the tag name.
- Tap the Menu icon.
- Select 'Tags'.
- Tap and hold the tag and then select 'Edit'.
- Edit the Tag Name then select 'OK'.
Delete a Tag
You can delete a tag through the Menu by following these steps:
- Tap the Menu icon.
- Select 'Tags'.
- Tap and hold the tag you wish to delete and then tap 'Delete'.
- Confirm that you would like to delete the tag.
