Reading plans are a great way to read through Scripture with a guided set of readings each day. The Olive Tree Bible App offers many reading plan options. You can read through the whole Bible in a year, choose a plan that focuses on a specific section of the Bible, or choose a themed reading plan or devotional. This article will show you how to access and start a reading plan, and more.
Accessing Reading Plans
Reading plans are accessed through the My Stuff section of the Study Center.
- Open the Study Center by selecting the icon in the top right corner of the app.
- Select 'My Stuff'.
- Select 'Reading Plans'.
Start a Reading Plan
Follow these steps to start a reading plan:
- Reading plans that come with the app are listed below 'Start A Plan'. Select 'Get More Reading Plans' to find more options.
- Locate and click on the reading plan you would like to use. Select 'Start Reading Plan' to start reading or select 'Install Free Reading Plan' to install the Reading Plan template.
- Select the back arrow in the upper left corner of the Study Center.
- Scroll down to locate the 'Start A Plan' section and choose the reading plan you installed.
- To edit the title of your reading plan, change the text in the bar at the top of the screen. (The default title will be the name of the reading plan.)
- Select 'Start Reading Plan' and then 'Start Reading'.
- After you select 'Start Reading,' your main window will open the first assigned reading. Read until you reach a green bar in the text. The green bar will either guide you to the next reading or include an option to complete the assignment by selecting 'Complete Reading'. You can also click 'Next Reading' to move onto the next day's assignment if you want to complete more than one assignment in a day.
