We have recently been receiving some reports of text in resources being replaced with punctuation. This is an issue that occurred rarely in the past, but has recently escalated. It appears as though this issue is related to a DRM issue when updating the app. Our development team is working to find a solution to the problem.
Please follow these steps to fix the problem on your device:
First, re-enter your username and password. To do so, tap the menu icon, scroll to the bottom of the screen, and tap Account. Delete your username and password, re-enter this information, and tap "Login".
Go to the general Settings app on your device (this is not in the Bible Study App, but under the Settings app on your iOS device). Scroll down until you see settings for the Bible Study app, and select the 'On' position for "Rescan Library". Re-open the Bible Study App. You will see a prompt saying it needs to be re-started. Tap 'OK' and open the app.
Next, close the app and go into general Settings app on your device again. Scroll down until you see settings for the Bible Study App that's installed, and select the 'On' position for "Clear Content Cache". Re-open the Bible Study App. You may see a prompt saying it needs to be re-started. Tap 'OK' and open the app.
If these steps don't resolve the issue, you may need to remove and re-download the problem resource. To do this, open your app and tap the menu button. Tap Library under 'Read'. Find the resource that's displaying the punctuation and tap the three-dot icon. Tap Remove and Archive. Tap Store in the upper right corner of the Library window and tap the Purchased tab at the bottom of the screen. Re-download the resource and open it in your app.
Once completing these steps the text should return to your resources.
