6.0 iPad - Highlights

There are two different ways to highlight Scripture on your iPad. You can either highlight by tapping on a verse number or by highlighting a specific block of text. This article will show you how to add highlights both ways.

Highlighting a Single Verse

To highlight a single verse or multiple verses, start by tapping on a verse number to get a pop-up menu.

Tap 'Highlight' to get the edit highlight screen to appear. If you want to highlight multiple verses, tap the up-facing arrow. You can add tags or add the highlight to a category here, too. You can change the title in the box with the verse reference.

To save and add the highlight to your text, tap a color. The highlight will now appear in your Bible text.

Highlighting a Block of Text

The second way to highlight is to use the tap and hold function to select the amount of text you want to highlight. Tap and hold one word that you want to include in your highlight so the selector bars appear. Use the selector bars to select all the text you want to highlight.

Tap 'Highlight' to get the edit highlight screen to appear. You can add tags or add the highlight to a category here. You can change the title in the box with the verse reference.

To save and add the highlight to your text, tap a color. The highlight will now appear in your Bible text.

One Important Note: Single-verse highlights, made by tapping on a verse number, will appear in every Bible translation that contains that Bible verse. Text selection highlights made by selecting a specific block of text will only appear in the Bible translation in which they're created.
