Categories are one way to organize your annotations (notes, highlights, etc.) in the Olive Tree app on your Windows device. This article will show you how to create a category, add annotations to a category, edit a category and delete a category.
Creating a Category:
Start with the Bible open in your main window. Open the split window by clicking the bar under the scroll bar at the bottom of the screen or swiping up from the bottom. Select 'Study' and 'My Stuff'.
Select 'View All' in the lower right corner of the split window. Tap or click the bar beneath the scroll bar again and select 'Add' and 'Category'.
Type in the name of the category and click or tap outside the box to add the category. You should see it appear towards the top of the My Stuff window.
Adding Annotations to Categories:
Start on the main My Stuff menu (you should see 'View All' in the lower right corner). Decide which annotation you want to add to a category and tap the annotation's icon. In this example, we will add a note to our 'Example Category'. Select the note icon and scroll through your list of notes until you find the note you want to add to the category. Right click or tap and hold on the note and select 'Move' in the lower left corner.
Select 'Move', the name of the category you want to move the note to, and then 'Move'.
Select the category to view the list of annotations you have added to the category.
Editing a Category:
Right click or tap and hold on the category and select 'Edit' from the bottom toolbar.
Type in your edited name and click or tap off the screen to save the new category name.
Deleting a Category:
Right click or tap and hold on the category and select 'Delete' from the bottom right of the screen.
Select 'Delete' and the category will disappear from the list.
