Windows - Enhanced Notes

Enhanced Notes gives you powerful tools to customize your notes, making them more organized, expressive, and visually clear. Once purchased, you can use it on all supported devices (requires app version 7.14 or later on iPad/iPhone, Android, and Windows, and 6.14 or later on Mac). You can purchase Enhanced Notes here.

What You Can Do with Enhanced Notes

  • Ordered lists with automatic renumbering (up to 5 levels deep) to structure thoughts.
  • Word-level formatting (bold, italic, underlined, and strikethrough) for emphasis.
  • Superscript and subscript for footnotes, references, or citations.
  • Paragraph styles: Title, Heading, Subheading, Body, and Blockquote for quick, consistent formatting.
  • Checklists to track study progress, prayer requests, or to-dos.

Using Enhanced Notes

When editing a note, you’ll see the Enhanced Notes toolbar at the top of the note body:

Here is a break down of the various options/icons found in this bar:

The pilcrow icon will allow you to format text as either a Title, Heading, Subheading, Body, or Blockquote.

Select the pilcrow icon to reveal these options.

These icons will allow you to format text as bold, italic, or underline.

By selecting the three-dot icon, you will see options to use strikethrough, superscript, or subscript.

Selecting the list icon will allow you to choose between a bulleted list, a numbered list, or a checklist.

While editing a list, an option will also appear to shift text to the left or right. 

Here is an example after moving the third item in the list to the right:
