What are Tags?
Tags are a tool to help you link your annotations (notes, highlights, saved passages) to topics. With tags, you will easily be able to access other annotations (notes, highlights, and saved passages) you have created that relate to the annotation you are currently viewing.
Create a Tag
You can create a tag in two ways:
- While editing or viewing an annotation
- From the Tags section in the Menu
Option 1: Create a Tag While Editing or Viewing an Annotation
- Tap '+ Add Tag'.
- Tap 'Create New Tag'.
- Enter a title for the tag.
- Tap 'Create'.
- You'll now see your new tag in the list and check-marked. Tap the back arrow to return to the annotation.
- Note that the tag is now reflected on the annotation.
To create a tag through the Menu, follow these steps:
- Tap the Menu icon.
- Select 'Tags'.
- Tap 'Create New Tag'.
- Enter a title and tap 'Create'
- Now you will see your new tag listed.
Tagging Annotations:
You can add or remove a tag to an annotation by tapping the '+ Add Tag' button in the editing window. For most annotations, the editing window is accessed by tapping the 'i' icon while viewing the annotation in the Menu or three-dots when viewing the annotation itself.
Edit a Tag:
With tags, the only option you can edit is the title.
- Tap the Menu icon.
- Select 'Tags'.
- Tap the 'i' icon to the right of the tag.
- Edit the tag name and tap the arrow in the upper left corner to save.
Delete a Tag:
You can delete a tag through the Menu by following these steps:
- Tap Menu.
- Select 'Tags'.
- Locate the tag you wish to delete and swipe from right to left across the tag.
- Tap 'Delete'.
- Confirm that you would like to delete the tag.
