Tags are a tool to help you link your annotations (notes, highlights, saved passages) to topics. With tags, you will easily be able to access other annotations (notes, highlights, and saved passages) you have created that relate to the annotation you are currently viewing.
Create a Tag:
You can create a tag while editing/viewing an annotation or through the Tags entry in the Menu.
While editing/viewing an annotation, follow these steps to create a tag:
- Tap '+ Add Tag'.
- Tap 'Create New Tag'.
- Enter a label.
- Tap 'Create'.
- You'll now see your new tag in the list and selected, tap the back arrow to return to the annotation.
- Note that the tag is now reflected on the annotation.
To create a tag through the Menu, follow these steps:
- Tap the Menu icon.
- Select 'Tags'.
- Tap 'Create New Tag'.
- Enter a label and tap 'Create'
- Now you will see your new tag listed.
Tagging Annotations:
You can add or remove a tag to an annotation by tapping the '+ Add Tag' button in the editing window. For most annotations, the editing window is accessed by tapping the 'i' icon while viewing the annotation in the Menu or three-dots when viewing the annotation itself.
Edit a Tag:
With tags, the only option you can edit is the label.
- Tap the Menu icon.
- Select 'Tags'.
- Tap the 'i' icon to the right of the tag.
- Edit the label and tap the arrow in the upper left corner to save.
Delete a Tag:
You can delete a tag through the Menu by following these steps:
- Tap Menu.
- Select 'Tags'.
- Locate the tag you wish to delete and swipe from right to left across the tag.
- Tap 'Delete'.
- Confirm that you would like to delete the tag.
