Android Installation Over The Air (OTA)

There are three different approaches you can take to installing our application on your Android device. We will be covering two methods here, which involve using a Data or WiFi connection to download both the application and products.

We recommend using this method first, as installing our products from the Market will allow you to see Push Notifications when there is an update available. The other methods will not send you notifications from the Market!

If you haven’t already installed the BibleReader program on your device, please go to the Android Market (this is an app Titled 'Market', which should be on your home screen) and search for "BibleReader" - you should be able to install the KJV BibleReader on your device for free from that site. As an alternative, you can point your device's browser to www.olivetree.com/m, and select the "Free KJV BibleReader" link to take you to the Android Market entry for it.

Once the program is on your device, please reboot it, then open the BibleReader program
- Tap the Menu Button on your device
- Select Store/Account
- Select the Purchased tab
- Select Synchronize books with your Olive Tree Account.
- Enter your Olive Tree username and password as prompted

You should now see a list of your Olive Tree purchases that are compatible with your device, please select one to download it into your reader.

To browse free items, tap the menu button, then the "Store/Account" icon and select the "Browse" tab, and then "Free Books" from the list.

This next set of instructions should be used if you do not have direct access to the Android Market. This is most common in Android devices that use a custom version of the Android operating system, and sometimes they do not allow access to the Android Market.

If you haven’t already installed the BibleReader program on your device, please point its browser to www.olivetree.com/m making sure that you have it set to allow installation of Non-Market applications (from the Home screen select menu -> settings -> applications, and select the 'Unknown Sources' option).

Download the current reader for your platform. The website should automatically determine your device, but if not choose the appropriate platform from the list. When you are navigated to the correct platform, you will see 8 BibleReader icons. Be sure to scroll past those, until you see 2 larger, darker green buttons. One is a version of our application with the KJV, and one is a version without any Bible included. They are both the same in every way except for the material that comes with, tap on your choice to begin the download.

Once the download is complete, tap on the most recent APK file to complete the install.

Once the program is on your device, please reboot it, then open the BibleReader program
- Tap the Menu Button on your device
- Select Store/Account
- Select the Purchased tab
- Select Synchronize books with your Olive Tree Account.
- Enter your Olive Tree username and password as prompted
